Installation hardware included.  Our African mahogany floating shelves are natural African mahogany veneer on multi layered solid poplar core for ultimate strength and dimensional stability. Finished with premium quality low-sheen clear conversion varnish. These shelves are 1-3/4” thick.

African Mahogany (Khaya Ivorensis) is native to tropical Africa and Madagascar. It has a very similar color and grain to genuine mahogany and is the only timber widely accepted as mahogany besides that of the true mahogany, of the genus Swietenia. From a sustainability standpoint, African mahogany grows in good rich ground that is not nearly as delicate as the Amazon basin.

Our Quick ship floating shelves come with our own mega strong Übermächtig hardware. Our quick-ship shelves are generally smaller and in some cases less demanding to install than our bigger custom shelves however these still must attach to studs. Drywall anchors are not going to cut it. Lots of advanced DIY’ers have successfully installed our shelves however keep in mind some installations may require tools and skills that are beyond most DIY’ers in which case it’s a job for a seasoned and skilled finish carpenter.
